Now under new management the Turf Hotel is a friendly, family run hotel based in the heart of Richmond, North Yorkshire. With the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Coast to Coast walks all on our doorstep, we offer comfortable, affordable accommodation and quality home-made meals in a great location. We have two bars to relax and unwind in - a sports bar with Sky, BT, pool table, and a quieter lounge bar - both offering a wide range of beers, cask ales, wines, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks. Our restaurant has an extensive menu and is very reasonably priced – we're also not shy with our portions! For visitors wanting to explore the historic town of Richmond, we are perfectly located right in the centre of town, just on the edge of the cobbled market place – The famous Georgian Theatre Royal is right next door, and both the Norman castle and banks of the River Swale are within short walking distance. The Turf Hotel has five light, airy and tastefully decorated rooms – guests are also provided with a delicious breakfast included in the price. In August 2018 the main bar and lounge areas, along with the front aspect of the hotel, underwent a complete renovation which transformed it into a sleek and stylish space for eating, drinking and socialising. Our fantastic outside area now has artificial grass, cushioned rattan furniture and a giant pergola fitted with lights and heaters - perfect for a bit of al fresco action on those late summer and autumn evenings! Wifi is available throughout the public areas and bedrooms free of charge. Please note we are a busy pub on Friday and Saturday nights and often have music playing till late. We also do not have any on-site parking, however there is an abundance of parking spaces in the market place (50 yards away) and the long stay Nuns Close car park (500 yards away). We also own the Unicorn Inn (200 yards away) and the Farmers Arms in Scorton (5 min drive away), ask our staff for some great offers between the sites!
